On the rooftop we can clearly see the difference between Antoni Gaudí’s construction and the expansion by Joan Baptista Serra de Martínez that dates to 1925. The former is an exotic looking roof, drawing inspiration from the architecture of India, Morocco and Egypt. It also features a walkway that allows you to take a tour of the rooftop, three chimneys and a tower that tops the roof like a minaret. Everything is covered with green and white ceramic tiles.
In the expansion, Serra de Martínez placed a tower-minaret that is nearly identical to the one designed by Gaudí forty years earlier.
