The number of local visitors to Gaudí’s first house increased notably (44%) compared to 2023

This cultural equipment in the Town of Gràcia closed 2023 and 2022 with 200,052 and 126,632 visitors, respectively. Now, barely seven years after it opened its doors in November 2017, this UNESCO World Heritage Site has consolidated its position as a benchmark equipment in the city of Barcelona for lovers of culture, modernism and Gaudí, and pulled in 262,600 visitors in 2024. This solid annual growth is also mirrored in the 44% increase in the number of local visitors compared to 2023 thanks to the extensive daily offer of guided tours in Catalan language.
Visitor nationalities
Italy holds pride of place in terms of the main nationalities that have visited Gaudí’s first house, with 15%, followed by France and the United States, with 12% and 11%, respectively.
According to the CEO of Casa Vicens, Emili Masferrer, "Our goal for 2025 is to maintain the quality standards that Casa Vicens is renowned for, which we will seek to achieve by adding new tools to get a better idea of our visitor profile and to begin to work with emerging audiences such as South Korea”.
A recommendable visit
Besides the annual number of visitors, the management of this house-museum attaches great importance to the value of visitors endorsements, since 97% of the audio guide users in 2024 said they would recommend the tour to their friends and families.
