Comella Window Display

Gaudí designed a window display for the glove retailer Esteban Comella in order to showcase his products at the Paris Universal Exposition of 1878.

Although this piece had an ephemeral existence, crafted in the workshop of the cabinetmaker Eudald Puntí and intended only for the universal exposition, the work was transcendental for Gaudí’s career because it caught the attention of Eusebi Güell, Gaudí’s future patron.
