The house-museum recognized Mozart Street for its proposal “La Jordina – La Rosa de Foc”

For the fourth year running, Gaudí’s first house awards one of the special prizes in the best-festooned streets competition in the Annual Festival of the Gràcia district.

For the eighth year running, Gaudí’s first house has collaborated in the Annual Festival of the Gràcia district, reinforcing its commitment to this unique celebration and to the neighbourhood of Gràcia. Casa Vicens not only joins as a sponsor, but also offers, from August 15 to 21, special discounts to visit this World Heritage Site, free daily family workshops, and awarded the prize in the best festooned streets competition sponsored by the Fundació Festa Major de Gràcia.

Yesterday, Tuesday, at the Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia, the director of the house-museum, Emili Masferrer, presented the special Casa Vicens Gaudí Award to Mozart Street, highlighting “the originality of the concept, placing the figure of a woman at the heart of Catalonia’s most universal legend; the ability to transport visitors to a unique universe, recreating a medieval Montblanc in the heart of Gràcia; and the remarkable attention to detail and craftsmanship present in every corner and figure of the decoration.”
