Gaudí’s first house is hosting a family workshop in July and August, inviting visitors to explore his architecture and legacy through play and creativity
Casa Vicens Gaudí is launching Cromoteca Gaudí this summer – a family activity that invites children and their companions to discover the house museum through its creator, its history and the decoration of its rooms.
The initiative is part of Casa Vicens’ ongoing commitment to sharing Gaudí’s legacy, as well as its responsibility as the architect’s first major house. It is also part of Gaudí Year, offering a chance to bring his work and ideas to new audiences, and to encourage an early appreciation of his architecture.
A sticker album for exploring Casa Vicens
During the workshop, families explore the rooms of this UNESCO World Heritage Site on a guided tour, collecting stickers along the way to complete an album inspired by Gaudí’s work. As they make their way through the house, younger visitors discover Antoni Gaudí, the Modernisme movement and the artistic and symbolic details that make this first house designed by the architect from the Camp de Tarragona so distinctive.
More than just a fun activity, Cromoteca Gaudí offers a hands-on learning experience that encourages curiosity, creativity and a personal connection with cultural heritage. Along the way, participants discover how Gaudí understood the relationship between architecture and nature, and why Casa Vicens is an essential starting point for understanding the evolution of his work.
Practical information
