For the second time, Gaudí’s first house has awarded a prize in the well-known street decoration competition that is part of the Festa Major de Gràcia.
Gaudí’s first house participated for the sixth consecutive year in the Festa Major de Gràcia and on this occasion, in addition to offering free family workshops, it awarded a prize in the street decoration competition organized by the Fundació Festa Major de Gràcia.
During the street decoration competition award ceremony, which took place yesterday afternoon in the Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia, the Casa Vicens jury awarded its prize to Tordera street and its Modernims theme. As they expressed during the presentation, “for remembering one of the most iconic artistic movements of the city, for reclaiming artisanal techniques such as stained glass and ceramics, for its artistic execution and the good technical resolution of leaded or polychrome glass and for the good representation of the chimneys of the Palau Güell and Casa Milà, works of the architect who began his career with Casa Vicens, we have decided to give Tordera Street our prize”.
