1903-1914
In 1901, bishop Pere Campins visited the Sagrada Família to ask Antoni Gaudí to reorganise and decorate the indoor spaces of the Gothic Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca.
Gaudí accepted the commission. The renovation project included certain liturgical elements, furnishings and an iron, glass and ceramic baldachin, designed together with Jujol, which was never manufactured. Today we can see a model of it.
The project ended abruptly in 1914 due to discrepancies with the contractor and the bishop’s death.
