The first local festival of Casa Vicens
One year later, the Festa Major de Gràcia, the neighbourhood’s local festival, is about to arrive. This year’s edition is very special for Casa Vicens: this is its first local festival as a house-museum. First times are always important, so we don’t want to let the opportunity to participate in the festival pass us by.
On these long-awaited dates, we’ll bring you close to this little joy of modernisme with discounts, special opening hours, festive decorations and activities. Are you going to miss out on visiting Gaudí first house?

Festive Decoration
During the days of the local festival, the House’s garden joins in on the neighbourhood’s festive decorations, aiming to show Casa Vicens as a unique, creative, dynamic and inhabited place where everything is taken care of down to the last detail to satisfy the visitors’ every expectation.
The decoration, which can be seen during the hours when the garden is open free of charge, draws inspiration from the work carried out to restore and renovate the House, with many hands working in order to return the house to its original splendour. The decorations provide a very visual narrative, a dialogue between the hands certain ornamental elements on the façade, creating a scene to entice visitors and invite them to enter into the game of emotion, reflection and enjoyment.
Free visits to the garden:
– Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. (last access, at 10:45 p.m.).
– Friday and Saturday, from 10 p.m. until 12 a.m. (last access, at 11:45 p.m.).
Activities in the decorated streets:
Demonstration of the process of decorating the tiles in Casa Vicens led by the master artisan ceramist Manuel Diestre (Sot ceramics workshop), who was responsible for the restoration of the ceramics in Casa Vicens.
